350 conversion

I recently lost my explorer, but I bought a 4 runner ( I know I know it's not an explorer but it's runnin on 36"'s with alot of lift) and I want to convert the 22r to a 350. Is there anyone here that's converted a 350 intosomething that could give me some info?

If it were me I'd use a 4.3L over a 350. But that's just me! Here is a link to an excellent writeup on a 4.3L swap. http://www.off-road.com/toyota/tech/other/v6swap.html Most of the info can be used for a 350 swap since a 4.3L is basically a 350 minus 2 cylinders.

I saw a 4 runner with a EFI 5.0L not too long ago = drool, but the 350 is a great powerplant as well if you like that sort of thing hahaha

from what i've read and seen the 4.3 is much more popular. i used to have a 87' toy pickup with i think the 22r. Motor lasts forever but from what i've seen, the 4.3 is a much better powerplant and not as much work as a 350. But then again, who sees a 4 runner sitting up high going down the road with the motor roaring? if you can do it, props to ya!

Well i've never put a 350 in a 4 runner but i have put a small block in a toyota supra. But i might be able to help ya. But i guess i have a question for you what would you like to know?

That thing is awesome. They did so much RIGHT on that rig. Its great. Too bad whatever exhaust guy they had bend the pipes SUCKS. That bend on the drivers side front is totaly gross. After all the work on that rig and to get such a terrible job would piss me off.
