Explorer 99 limited edition alternator

Hello

I have a 99 EXPLORER LIMITED EDITION and the alternator is getting worse, so I decided to look for another one and called DC Enginner about theyr high ouput for my car and the sales person told me that I can't put any other aftermarket alternator because is going to burn, fire and the best option is buy the original Motorcraft.

Please help me guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've got an aftermarket high output alternator in my '99 EB and it's going strong.

Brand is listed in my sig. You don't need a 260 amp alternator (overkill, more geared to car audio and even then I didn't need this unit). It has a premium price to boot (don't remember what I paid...it was a few years ago).

Just get yourself a 130 amp alternator from any reputable seller and you'll be fine. Plenty of sources for pricing on the www. Google is your friend.
