I have a 2006 Ford Explorer, and recently the A/C does not seem to shut off. It's on at full blast, no matter what. I can control the temperature, but not the fan. No matter if it is on auto or if I set the fan all the way down to the minimum, setting, it blows at the absolute max.
What the heck has caused this? After researching it some more, it appears that I may have a blower speed resister issue, but that appears to only be when things are high.
When the air conditioning is on, it goes to the maximum setting, no matter what I move the fan adjust to, or if I put it on "auto". When I turn it all off, it seems to revert to blowing air out of the defroster
