Hi Everyone

Great to join your forum. I've had my explorer xlt since new/ex-dealer demonstrator in early 1998 (1997 model). Have really enjoyed ever since, but problems now driving me crazy and even Ford are saying they don't know what the issues are?

It has had all of the recalls that they have notified me about (cruise control etc etc etc). But I have an ongoing problem with the Air Bag light staying on and the heating/aircon staying at one temperature.

They/I have repeatedly cleaned the plug under the seat which has put the airbag light out for a while, but it comes back on pretty soon afterwards.

I've seen something online that there was a wiring harness recall for slightly later models, but I haven't been told anything about this, or been offered it.

I would be really, really grateful for any ideas!

Many thanks

Nick

Welcome to the forum.

The heater not changing temperatures is the blend door. A quick search will bring it up.

The airbag light, seems like the module may be getting false readings and failing? Not too sure.
