Can anybody tell me what the stock 5.0L explorer exhaust system looks like? I'm wondering about things like pipe diameter, number of catalytic converters used, and where the 4 oxygen sensors are mounted in relation to the catalytic converters. Of the 4 heated O2 sensors that the explorer has I believe that there are two O2 sensors in the down pipe but I'm not sure exactly where the other two sensors are located in relation to the cats.
I also think that the 5.0 explorers used two catalytic converters but were they mounted side by side with the exhaust split or were the cats mounted in line?
The 97 explorer is the particular year that I am interested in but I think that the exhaust system is probably the same in the 5.0 explorers up to 2001, but I could be wrong. If somebody has some pics that they could post or email that would be ideal.
I need to build up this exhaust system and it would be nice to know what it is supposed to look like first.
