Explorer Power 3rd Row Seat Stuck Up

Post number 19 has been selected as best answered.

Had done this previously. Doesn't work.

No, the dealer didn't fix it. They recommended a cross bar assembly, which would be $3500 with labor but part is sold out with no ETA for when it would be available.

I personally have now taken the 3rd row apart. Both motors work but there is no power going to the right 3rd row seat. Voltage checked on the switch shows power to the left but no power on the right or center? This isn't a mechanical issue, it's a software or power issue.
UPDATE*** took to another dealership. He said there was a code for the right rear seat. Said he cleared that, then re programmed the seat and now works fine!

My 2020 Ford Explorer Limited has power 3rd row seats. But, the seats are stuck up and I cannot get them down. I had it looked at by dealerships and they are telling me it is a computer issue. I was told it is a known issue and the Ford Factory Engineers are looking to find a solution. Has anyone else had this issue? I need the 3rd row to go down so I can utilize my cargo area.. Can I manually put them down? The Ford dealerships don't know how to put them down either... Super frustrating.

Same issue - took to Ford dealer after trying to troubleshoot myself. There were 2 problems diagnosed, cost me $3600. Replaced rear seat pivot tube and rear seat assembly.

I ended up bringing to another dealership who said there was a code for the one seat. Reset the code, relearned the software, and now it works fine. I actually was able to get $1400 refund from original dealer also for their misdiagnosis!

Welcome to the Forum.

Please complete your profile by adding the Requested trim (Base, XLT, Limited, etc.) of your Explorer so it shows in the margin. Not all trims have the same features or parts so it would be beneficial for members to know when replying to your posts.
Click on your username at the top right and select Account Details. Then scroll down to where it asks for Year, Model & Trim Level: and enter the info there.
Thank you.

I would have sent this via a PM but it appears you haven't enabled that feature.
