I don't know, 28 large seems pretty high, especially when you can get a 2011 with roughly that many miles for a little less than 30 (although less equipped).

Seems like you can get an '07 - '08 for less than 20. In '09 I bought my '06 with 21k miles for $19k.

But if you like it, go for it - just hardball 'em on price.

Yeah, it stinks. I think cars are just more expensive in the NYC area. I mean, I checked the blue book and it was listed at $32,000! I'm just looking for something very specific so they're hard to find. I don't like the styling of the 2011, so I'm stuck with 2008-2010 (I had sync on my 2008 so I have to have it). I've looked at a few cars already and it seems like margins are really low, no one wants to haggle. I've even said I would pay cash but they don't seem to care. I did speak to the guy on the phone though, he said he would knock off $1000, so I could get it for 27 large

It is loaded to the gills at least. That car new probably would've been at least $40,000. If you can get it down to $25K I would get it. If you can't find any better deals then I'd still get it, but maybe you can get him to knock another thousand off eventually.

Congrats on that amazing Explorer, love the color! Did they also change the front head rests on the 2010? I really want to know if it is possible to put those sunvisor mirrors on my 2008 I am really sick of replacing them.

allright, got the car today. still have to download pics. But I've noticed a few things already.

- It does seem like the headrests are different. They seem tilted a little more forward
- The sunvisors are much improved, I don't think these will break
- I had to hold the reset button down for the things on the vehicle information console (or whatever it's called). On, the '08, I just had to push the button once.
- It has a one-touch up (and down) window. The '08 was only one-touch down
- The shifter and steering are definitely smoother on this one. Steering seems effortless.

Ya, a lot of folks do not like the head rests. It took me a month or two to get use to them.

ok that is it I am jealous of the color. Love the painted mirrors and the fact that yours came with a 2" hitch. Why oh why ford did you put a 1 1/4" on a V8? You even have cross rails!! I am not fond of chrome rims though. Seems like the only ones who really like them are the crows. *peck peck peck*

Looks great! I have to agree with Essex about the wheels, I don't know why Ford likes using that cheap plastic chrome to ruin their wheels. But it's a very nice Explorer and wheels are easy to change (though not too cheap) if you ever feel like it.

I love the Blue...2" factory hitch means that it has the factory Tow Package...Just like mine but different color..

If this ever happens to me I'll probably go crazy, cause I can't afford a new one and mine's too old to actually get much money for my car when they consider it totaled.
