Hello,
I have problems with my Transmission. Yesterday I shifted from R to D and nothing happened. When I switch to 2 (3'd gear as I know) the car moves. Rear gear works fine too, but cant switch to first.
I'm not familiar with the differences between the gearboxes but whats the difference between levers position. Mine is on the floor and others are on the wheel.
Thanks.

I opened the gearbox 2 times from last post. It's 5r55e gearbox.
There was nothing broken and all the clutches and bands are like new. Tested all the valves and they work fine too. Changed the valve body gaskets and the trans fluid.
The problem didn't gone. In "D" the car doesn't move. In "2" the car moves OK.
In "1" the car moves a bit. "R" is working fine too.
What else can I check? There are no fault codes. The MIL is OFF.
Thanks!

Possible failed low sprag in the bottom of the case or stripped splines at the rear ring gear.

Sprags can fail and not produce much debris even stripped splines wont produce much and the debris is does produce can be picked up by the filter.
When you inspected the transmission did you go all the way to the bottom or just stop at the last drum?

I removed this black plastic "thing". This was last I removed. Should I go on?

If you stopped at the plastic oil shield (part 71)then you did not far enough to check the sprag and ring gear. The rear ring gear hub is part 74 and the reverse drum with the sprag is part 76. Part 76 should rotate in the case clockwise and lock or hold counter clockwise.

I tried to remove the Drum but it doesn't come out. Is there any advice removing it?
As I see I'll remove the gearbox for third time for a week. :)
It takes me 30 min to get it out :)))

Once you remove the little snap ring under the plastic oil shield the output shaft may drop out and then you can remove the rear ring gear and then the reverse drum should just pull right out, if it doesn't the sprag may be bad, check the rotation once you get there before you remove it.

There is difference between D and Manual 1. In D the car doesn't move, but in Manual 1 it moves slow.

In manual low the low/reverse band is applied and that will do the same thing as the low sprag which is to hold the drum.

The rear one way drive clutch is the same thing as the "low sprag".

Today I removed the gearbox ... again. As you said the problem is the rear sprag. It was stuck in closed position and there is a little crack in the plastic holder. I found used one and tomorrow is the DAY.
Thanks for advises. I will post pictures tomorrow.

Ok, when I put the sprag into the drum it does not stay tight. What holds it in place? Is the drum worn?

EDIT: I understand the problem. The sprag has to be with the theeth faceing down.
