I have a 02' Explorer XLT with 245/65R-17's..... I am looking to get some new skins and was wondering if anybody had a tire size recomendation? Looking for something to fill the wheel wells a little bit more. Not putting a lift on the truck just want something that looks better than the stock size.
Any help would be appreciated!

Depending on what tire style you choose...

265/75/16 will fit on a stock application. However, if you go with an aggressive treat Mud Terrain you will have some slight rubbing issues and need to zip-tie your mud flaps up front.

Any other style of tire will fit nicely at that size.

Oooops.. you have 17" rims.

You can fit 265/70/17

245/65R-17's leaves 10mm between the tire sidewall and the steering knuckle
I figured that unless I got some spacers 255/65 would not fit.

not sure about those 70’s.

70 should fit fine. close but fine with no modifications. You may have an issue with your speedo reading off and some time the tire pressure sensors are thrown off by the bigger tire. You may need to have that adjusted.
