alright guys i kinda got into a an argument with a girl about the differences between the mercury and explorer and she says that the mercury is built on a car frame?????? and i thought that was just rediculous and she also stated that the car frame made it stronger? i of course told her she was wrong and the only difference was the accesories and luxery items. could some one tell me who is right?

Wrong.

Plus, todays cars are pretty much unibody, with only subframe pieces.

that dosent help at all

They use the same frames, The main difference is the luxury options. Also the newer mountaineers have different bodys i believe.

thats all i needed thanks JTX

The primary differences are Light fixtures and sheet metal. And even not every inch of the sheet metal is different. As for the luxury add-ons, the differences are limited there as shown by the luxury options in MY 95 Limited.

the explorer and the mounty are both trucks both on the same frame jsut different trim
