Can anyone tell me what a windscreen would cost from a junkyard ? In South Africa we have been quoted around $1700 for a new one???

In the US you can buy a new one for around $200. Not sure about getting it shipped overseas. Try doing some googling to see if you can find a company that will sell and ship overseas.

Yeah being an old British colony we refer to the piece of glass between the bonnet (hood?) and the roof as a windscreen.
