I want to make all four (or at least both front) windows "express". You know, like the driver's, where one touch takes it all the way down. Is this a function of the switch or the motor? Anyone know how to do this? Btw, I'll be doing this to a 97 X.

Thanks!

Haha, my front drivers window does this but I don't know why :) It's been doing it for a few months now....

Haha...Ford has that feature on yours too. The driver's window has an express down option. If you hold the button more than a half a second, the window will stop when you let go of the button. Otherwise, it'll go down automatically.

If you take the door panel off the driver's door, you'll see a relay that's wired into the driver's window circuit. That is what gives it the "McDonalds" window function. I suppose a person could put it on the other windows, but it would take a bit of wiring to do.

Seems like we determined the switches were individually mounted under the door trim.. Meaning you could gather 6 other auto switches and rig up the whole car. But yeah, do a search. And look for "auto" and not "express". :D

Thanks for your responses! I found another thread from a while back that was pretty helpful. Now I just gotta get my hands dirty!!!

Thanks again!
