For now I am limited by my parents to my 1.25" lift from spacers and shackles. I'm wondering what I can do to make my suspension ride nicer, be less noisy, handle better, and flex better, etc. I have Monroe Reflex shocks, and the thing I'm thinking might be good next is to get extended radius arms. I think part of my rough ride comes from the caster being off. Radius arms would also give me more flex right, so thats always good. I've heard they also help handling on bumpy roads, which we have a lot of with all the frost around here. I was also think of poly bushings, but how much of that can I do myself and how much will it help. I'm also thinking about the zimmerman mod in the rear because I'm sitting a little bit lower in the rear anyway. Please give me some advice.

I dont think anyone makes a extended radius arm that doesn't compensate for a substantial suspension lift. The smallest lift I've ever seen with extended RA is the rancho 2.5. Your are correct about the increase in articualation and the improved camber alignment. I dont know if poly bushings will dampen your ride or make it rougher. The poly's are very stiff. Stiff bushings will only transfer the bumps to the occupants. Maybe a set of rancho rs9000's set on 1 or 2 would keep down the offroad bumps.

I think I've heard that the James Duff radius arms work with stock height to 4" of lift because they have caster adjustments. Keep in mind I'm not necessarily looking for a cushy feeling ride. But combination of good handling and smooth. I feel like every little bump in the road is felt in my Explorer, I want it soak the little ones up better, and handle better on the big ones.
