extended length parking brake cables

ready to swap in a 97 rear end in to my 94 with a 3 in lift. was doing some reading as to needing longer parking brake cables to accommodate increased articulation in the rear axle. i was looking and i cant find any extended length cables. is doing that really even necessary?

You shouldn't need it for 3" lift.but to fit the 97 in a 94 you will need a intermediate cable from a 93

I don't remember the part number now, but I ended up searching through every intermediate cable in Napa's catalog online. They are the only ones that list length. I messed up and pulled my rear disk conversion from a sport. Be sure and measure correctly. I had to return my first one because it was an inch too long.
