Just bought an 06 xlt with 27,000 miles. Anyway,it has 3 months left on factory warranty,I was offered extended and I passed for now. I was curious what kind of offers have been made to others. I know these vary greatly dealership to dealership. They offered me "platinum" package,bumper to bumper, 5yr. 75,000 for $2300.00. Lets hear what you have been offered or bought...

I got a 6 year 75,000 mile bumper-to-bumper extended factory warranty for $1,000 when I bought my '06 brand new.

We bought ours with 16,000 miles last year and bought the ESP Platinum warranty through our Ford dealer for $1,000.

bought an ESP 100,000 premiumcare online from a ford dealership 1300 when i bought my explorer 2 1/2 years ago. My dealer wanted 3600 for it. Depending on the deductible you want the price might vary as well.

we paid 2100 (but they reduced the price of the truck an additional 2250 and added extras at no charge, guess they wanted the sale. so the warranty and maintenance was basically free) for 0 deductible 72 month 75,000 mile bumper to bumper factory Total Care warranty and includes all scheduled maintenance for that period of time, also. plus we got 72 month 0% financing on the truck.
