External Air Temperature Troubleshooting

and still have the same problem; Overhead console reads -40 degrees all the time ...not sure how we said to fix this ..but ...help? someone have a definitive answer for this? If so ...educate me??
-40F or -40C is the open circuit temperature readout. So, you either have a bad sensor or an open in the blue/white or blue/yellow wires between the sensor and the console.

Im having a very similar problem. Its not reading -40 but it does read ICE and fluxuates back to around 20* below the actual temp outside. Ill be heading to pep boys after work and picking up a sensor to test with. Hopefully this fixes the problem! Ill post my results here when I get some.

The alternating ICE warning occurs when starting up with a display reading or 38F or less or when the temperature falls to 38F or less while driving. It should last about 1 minute before reverting to a constant temperature display.
