This concerns my yukon, but it goes for pretty much all suvs with factory back window tints.

is it possible for them to match my front window like the stock back windows are already? they are not that dark, is it legal?

how much would that normally run for 2 windows?

Depends... in California you aren't allowed to tint your front driver and passenger side windows. Of course, many people do tint there windows (e.g. my little sister's Jetta) but you have to be smart about it. First off, film is garbage... I've never seen someone with film tint that doesn't have bubbles in it. My sister took her car to a local shop that specializes in window tinting and had them do the rear window and rear door windows as dark as possible. I forgot the numeric code but they are pretty damn dark, you can't see in through them at all... even in the day. Her front windows have a much more subtle tint and since it's professionally done (liquid application) you can barely tell. Plus, when compared to the back windows they look almost clear, they have a very light blueish-gray to them. If it's illegal where you live the shop might not do it for you anyways. My sister got hooked up because our local shop is full of dropouts from our high school. I have no idea on how much it all cost but I'll try to find out and post another reply.

ok thanks man,

i am pretty sure its legal i see TONS of cars here with it, and i have never heard of anyone i know getting a ticket other than if their windows were too dark. this actually isnt that dark, i just think it would look cool to match the other windows

Barring legal barriers, it's certainly do-able. Just today I was at a shop and they quoted about $50 for the driver and passenger doors. But I think I can do better, since I'll be doing a tint/alarm package ;)
($50 price based on totalpricequoted - priceofalarm)

You could even tell them to go as dark as is allowed on the front then do the rest to match, if you're wanting to go way-dark.

I just did my front two 20% and it matches the back perfect. I had mine done illegally (buddy at shop) and paid 80$ and I got a lifetime warrenty

i would imagine your yukon is 20% which in GA is illegal for the fronts, dunno about SC

I used film on my blazer and it came out rather well, the only part that didn't was the top that had a little jagged edge, no bubbles. Matched the back tint almost perfect.

Not a thing wrong the tint film. That's all I ever had & if it's quailty stuff it will last for years & years. I have never herard or seen anyone who had films that have had problems. Unless it was the garbage they sell at auto stores. What is this "liquid" stuff? Never heard of that.

Matching the front windows is not a problem unless it's a first gen X. They have this brownish tint. Nothing matches is it really well. I had a shop tint the front windows on mine, 30% was the match. It looks good, but you can tell there is a slight difference in color. I had a Tahoe matched. That was 20%. Was $70, but that is with good quailty tint. I have 15% on my Acura & had 15% on all my past cars. Looks great!
