ok well i was driving down the highway just now...doing about 65...turn on my wipers and they barely move. so i turn down the stereo, and hear this god awful noise. and then my battery light comes on and i lose power steering. thankfully, no one was around me, and i was on a pretty straight stretch of road. so i get it pulled over and notice the belt is off, so i try putting it back on and realize that its really loose, so i look it over and the bottom most wheel is busted. now, my haynes manual is trapped in my dorm, and im home for spring break. can anyone help me out with this one? like whats the part and how to replace it? thanx

if its just a tensioner you can get one of those emergency belts so you can drive the truck home if you havent already gotten it there.

which pullie is it that is broke? Is it the belt tensioner? You can replace the pullies and the tensioner depending on which it is. It is a pretty straight forward and easy repair. Nothing major to it.

lowest pulley that is. the plastic casing that goes on the outside and "holds" the belt just broke off
