OK, I'm om my third NAPA Fan Clutch in as many months and now this one Whines for the first 4-5 minutes of driving then quites down. I did not notice this with the OEM part. I'm I just being picky or is there something wrong with this fan clutch to.

The engine sounds like it's racing when you step on the gas until the whining stops, then the vehicle sounds great.

I maybe just obsessing since I have replaced so many fan clutches, if so tell me.

I had an aftermarket clutch on a ranger for a while. I got tired of the noise and went back to using a OEM unit. No problems since.

Since when you first start it up it is idling high, the engine is turning at faster rpms which will make the fan spin faster, but then it idles down after a few minutes(depends upon outside temp) My bronco does that the fan whines, alt. whines and belt but after if idles down it purrs like a kitten. Every vehicle I have ever owned, the fan clutch was real loud when you first start it up.
