Fan clutch roars

Just had the fan clutch on my 2000 XLS 4.0 OHV replaced at Napa Care Center. Now the thing sounds like a jet engine at cold startup and take offs and roars real load and have also noticed a loss of power.What could be the problem any suggestions?

did they use the heavy duty one. cause i know that one is usually unessary and lous

Yes, just looked at my receipt and it says they put on a heavy duty fan clutch.

Does it "roar" all the time or just after start-up and lasts a little while?
