I have transmission shifting issues when coming to a stop. When engine is cold, it does not do this. However when near and at engine operating temp, the symptom I get is when coming to a near stop, it lunges forward with erratic trans shifting. Also while the engine is warm and when I go into reverse, trans roughly shifts into reverse.
Perhaps me replacing my raditor about one year ago has something to do with my trans issue. I bought a radiator from Rockauto for half cost of what AZ or Advance Auto parts. (Mistake getting it from Rockauto) So about 3 months ago I developed a radator leak and used radiator stop leak to stop leak. Almost a month l started seeing these trans shifting issues. So today I checked the coolant level and and coolant is very foamy white in color. Can the foam be caused by the stop leak or a trans line leak in the radiator I got from Rockauto?
I cannot check the trans fluid level because it is a sealed system.
I intend to replace radaitor anyway because 1) I don't like that foam and 2) perhaps the chemical reaction of the stop leak might have caused deteriation of trans lines in the radiator.
Any sugestions? Thanks.
