faulty fuel pump

hey my 2005 trac has been giving me problems bout 4 weeks ago replaced the fuel pump. after testing old pump deemed to be faulty. then last weekend driving down the highway going good no signs of anything then truck losses power an shuts off? has anybody else had this problem with there?

How did you deem the pump to be faulty? Pressure check, no fuel pump motor noise, ???

Fuel filter, how old is it? The two rubber lines in the tank are weak links, did you replace those or tighten those clamps well?
