So, I don't have the heater wires in the mirror housing like others have said, and like another user said, there are only 3 pins in the male end (mirror end) of the plug. However, I checked that larger-gauge gray wire with a multimeter to ground (in fact I checked all of the wires) in the female end that comes from the door, and even with the rear glass heater turned on, none of the pins output any voltage. Does this mean that I cannot install heated side mirrors? I did check my fuses and there aren't any blown. And the rear window definitely heats up. Or is there something that I need to change using FORScan perhaps?

I would like to get new mirrors anyway because mine have a big hole in the trim from its past life as a police cruiser (mine is a 2013 FPIU Base). So I figured I might as well get heated ones (don't need anything fancy, but BLIS would be kinda nice if possible).

Anyone have any thoughts on what I could do or try?

BLIS works with radar units. I believe on the 2013 retail unit they are located behind the lower body panel to the back of the rear wheels.

I see... So I'd have to install the radar unit, which I really don't feel like doing, lol! Heated-only mirrors it is, then. Any advice for the heated mirror situation would be welcome. I can't seem to find any info on how to figure out if they would work with my vehicle without just dropping the money on them and hoping for the best.

Keep in mind I'm not guarantying anything. :)

Gotcha... I'll have to just bite the bullet and give it a shot! Hopefully it'll just work! Will definitely report back here what I buy and whether the heated feature works or not! Thanks!

Yo Nib, you give this a try??

Unfortunately I haven't yet! My priorities had changed sadly so I haven't had a chance yet. It's still potentially in my future though so I'll certainly post here if I do try it.
