fender repair

i've got a bit of a rust problem on the driver side rear fender of my 95 ex and thought about fiberglassing it, does anyone have any hints or tips and also does anyone kno how similar the front and rear fenders are so if i bought a front fender and used the sheetmetal to repair the rear would it work :exp:

it is actually called a quarter pannel not a fender.

Your desired results will dictate your plan of attack.

If you want stellar results you will need to cut out ALL the rusty metal and weld in fresh metal.

take a pic so people can see the extent of the rust . if you have the same thing I have which is just surface rust around the wheel and gas filler you can grind it out in 5 minutes with a grinder and bondo it . if you have a hole right through you may want to fiberglass it , I wouldn't do sheet metal work unless you want to make a show car or keep it for 10 years.
