few questions about 94 explorer

hey im new here so bare with me

i have a few questions..

1)is 1994 the year of i-beam front end?

2)was 1994 the last year for the square headlights? and the whole grill design.

3)are the cab(doors, rear hatch, the whole cab)same design as 95?

The 1995 models are 90% like the 1994. You SHOULD be able to swap mostly everything. But just watch the wiring inside might be different between the First Generation (1991-1994) and Second Generation (1995-2001, although 1995-1997 and 98-01 have different rear body styles).

95+ has different taillights, meaning different quarter panels, updated interior, different from the front fenders up. 99+ (?) has the rounded rear hatch and bumper.

i see, ive seen 94 explorers with 95 tailights though?.. they were beamed so i know ther were 91-94.

It's possible you've seen Explorers with modified tail lights from the 95 era on a first generation explorer. I know of about 3 members on this forum that have done it. So it's not impossible.

yeah i figured. another question, if i get a explorer, will a ranger extened beam kit fit? ive never seen a explorer beam kit..

yes, ranger lifts up to 1997 will work on 91-94 explorers
