I was just told by a ford dealer that scanned my transmission that I may have a filter issue. They said line pressures were good, all solenoids and sensors were working correctly but my fluid was getting aireated. They said they have seen the orings not seat right on the filter and are advising me to have the pan dropped and a new filter put in since my pump is making some noise. Has anyone else run into this with theirs?

I have seen missing o rings on these filters and it usually because someone has just replaced the filter and did not install the o rings.

Maybe the bolt that holds the filter on is loose and the filter fell off.

How do they know its aerated?

Most of the time pump noise is a bad pump or converter.

They said the fluid was clean, just looked to be like it was sucking air somewhere. I just had a fluid flush and filter replacement done about 10k ago.
