finally got the beast home

well...i finally got the 97 v8 explorer home the other day, i would be lieing if i said i wasnt a little scared when driving it lol. im pretty sure one or more of the calipers is sticking because there is ALOT of grinding while driving, the steering is really loose, transmission oil is leaking onto the exhaust and the right ball joint is shot to hell.....oh and there is a loud buzzing/electical noise coming from somewhere in the engine lol.

other than that all is well lol.

hopefully this weekend i will have sometime to tear into it.

when i get home from work i will post up some gruesome pictures

My 97 also has a sticky caliper, loose steering, and instead of transmission oil, I have a coolant leak. .

Starting to think 97 is an utter **** year for these vehicles.

well if this year is total ****, im pretty sure this particular car is going to the scrap yard or getting parted out because it has been sitting close to a year. i dont mind putting some money into this thing, but im not dropping alot into it.
