Well, finally.. my new rubber arrived today..

I got them from Bronco4x4.com... They quoted 1-7 days delivery on their site.. and 8 days after ordering I got them..

265/75/16 Grizzly Claws...

The garage fitting them damaged my OSR sill, so now my OSR door fouls... but they've agreed to fix it... and rightfully so..

The Explorer looks awesome with the tyres on..

When they jacked it up, I noticed that both my front drop links have snapped.. probably due to the massive amount of speed bumps around here.

Road noise is horrendous, and the ride is hard and wobbly, however, I love it.. it's fantastic, you get sort of a military sound like a big APC as you hammer down the road.. I can't wait to take it off road to see how they cope with the mucky stuff..

I know they're road legal but they're mainly for offroad use.. I think they were worth the money and I'll let you know how I go..I'll post some pictures tomorrow

Pictures would be interesting. I wonder how bad the noise would be for a 2-3 hour motorway drive, i guess with radio on after a while you wouldn't really notice it.

I'd just have to turn the radio up!! well, that's one excuse for loud music anyway!! hehe..

By the time I got home it was too dark, So I'll take them in the morning

Did a trip from Liverpool to Bangor and back again over the weekend.. noise was horrendous... and the vibrations were quite bad too, However, I think they need balancing..

I took them offroad (muddy field) yesterday and they were great.

Rain?

Any problems with the rain? They look very nice indeed! Will you be lifting the vehicle any?

They didn't appear to slide any.. but with the front drop links being snapped I was taking it easy. There are plans to lift it, just depends on cost of getting parts sent to the uk.. shipping tax etc..

Took the Ex to the beach today and it was awesome.. I got right down in some really boggy sand and there was no sliding at all.. absolutely chuffed...

Didn't get any pictures tho, as I had no wellies to get out the car...

those definitely look loud

man they are mean looking tires! only usable to me in killing supermarket trolleys dead!
I assume you wanna off road, in that case the noise on tarmac would be high, but the pleasure off road would make up for that!
Well done, my Explorer is scared of yours!

now that i'm used to the noise it's kinda soothing like being on an old propeller plane... but the fun offroad more than makes up for the onroad noise and vibration..

The noise is always worth it!

Um, translation on the supermarket trolley please :D

Those tires definitely have a very aggressive tread!. Balancing will help any vibrations and such, but won't do much/if all to reduce noise. Have fun and post up some pics in the much when you have them
