FINALLY!!!! We got a 2000 VW GTI VR6

I have always been a huge fan of the VW GTI.
Ever since I was little I liked the 2 door Rabbit/GTI

Well since we are now moving to CA we had to get a new car for my GF. We went shopping and we(she) ended up with my dream car! Its a 2000 VW Golf GTI VR6 fully loaded. Silver in color, black leather. 16" alloy rims, 30K miles.

Once we get settled in CA I will be strarting to modify this sucker, stainless exhaust, cold air intake, adjustable suspension, big brakes, body kit, chip, they are all int he long term plans.

Anybody got any advise/comments?

I love driving this car, I call it the rocket ship......

I am also looking for some good online VW performance forums. Anybody got some links? (Alec? Rick?)

Dont sweat it, I am not into the Ricer thing, I believe in function over form, so no big wings, carbon fiber hoods, etc etc.....

I have been into watercooled VW's for a long time and I know what looks good and what looks like you drove out of Pep Boys with the entire Fast and Furious line on your ride.........we will not go overboard.

I had a 93 2 door Golf, but it was a 2.0L, still an awesome ar, but nothing like our new baby.....

i live in Cali right now, be prepared, CA DMV is very **** about any performance modifications to you vehicle. need to de-tune my X, Smog is due this month
