I have a 2006 Eddie Bauer V6 RWD which I bought new in '06. Truck has only 25k miles on it and I'm looking to get a boat. I'm looking for something in the 18-21ft range bay boat.

I know the truck will physically handle the 3k lbs that I'm about to throw at it (per the manual's max tow rating of 3500 lbs). What I want is to mod the truck to just make it a little easier.

I would like to do shorty headers, maybe a cat-back, definately a program to give a little extra power and help the trans with shiftin, and a CAI. This should also help the mpg a little under regular driving.

BUT I CAN"T FIND ANYTHING FOR THIS DAMN TRUCK

Does anyone make anything. I've tried all of the brands that I've been using on my mustangs for years but nothing comes up.

Little help would be nice.

Im not 100% but I believe that Gibson and Magnaflow both make cat back systems for our Explorers. Not positive on the v6 cause I have 4.6 but K&N should make an air intake for yours as well. I;m pretty sure you wont have much luck finding headers of any sort that are specifically made for your X. With all of those mods, you should be able to get a few more HP and TQ but nothing extremely significant. The programmer will be able to sorta tie all your mods together and allow you to get slightly more performance out of your Explorer. I would check with Superchips for that. For me, I would make sure your tires and brakes were 100% and that all the extra equipment(fuel, coolers, fishing and safety equip) you have to add to your boat wont get it too close to your max tow capacity. Hope this helps!

Check out the electrician's ex. He has headers and exhaust on his. Part numbers are given as well.

He has a dyno sheet floating around that shows his increases, might be in that thread but I'm not sure.

As far as a tune, get an intake and exhaust 1st, then talk to James at Henson performance to get an SCT tune.
