First snow in Socal

Well it's pea snow and not much, but it's something!

...i am hoping to be in big bear for the next snow...

...i hope everything is ok up there as they have mandatory evacs down here for the canyon's, (modjeska, williams), and silverado is under volunteer evac due to mudslides from the recent fires...no slides yet but they got a couple inches of rain..

The rain yesterday really messed up hwy 18. CHP, and Caltrans still have it closed from Snow Valley to the Big Bear dam because of mud/rock slides.

..the slides up there can be gnarley do to all the rocks...i'm itching to get my ranger up there in some good snow though...it's a putter but it's perfect for big bear in the snow...

We had a half inch this morning up here in the NW. That all melted but then started again when I took this picture. Now we have close to 2" and still coming down hard.

lol My car has a working heater too! :
With 30 degree temps at night down here, I don't need no stinkin' snow! hehehe

By the way, being a native Californian, I prefer sunshine and warmth to snow!
