ok, been doin a lot of research and i would like to put 33s on my 97 sport 4x4 5 spd...the thing is i am on a pretty tight budget and again am not TOO familiar with what can and cant be done to these trucks...here were my plans...

torsion twist up to 2 inches, warrior shackles in the rear and maybe add a leaf? and then a 2 inch body lift. i want to stick with the stock wheels for cost issues and im not scared to do a little trimming...

will i be able to achieve this with just tt/shackles and 2 inch bl and some trimming? also, suggestions on tires would be great (brand, model and exact size i can fit on the stock wheel)...i like to go offroad a decent amount (not really rock crawling but more gettin nice n muddy) n wanna raise it up for more clearance.

any suggestions are welcome...thanks a lot guys, seems like yall are a group of good guys from what ive read so far...hope to be on here more often!

sounds like you have a pretty solid plan and have done your research. consider stepping up to a 3" body lift though, unless you really want to get into the fenders with the sawzall. as for tires, cant go wrong with the bfg mud terrain or the pro-comp mud terrain, many people have used both and really enjoyed them. as far as size, your rims are either 15x7 or 16x7, the widest tire you should prob go is a 12.5 wide, but a 11.5 wide tire would be better with the 7" rim. if you want to step up to a 15x8 rim you can go with the 12.5 tire more safely, but many people put the 12.5 tire on the stock rim and dont have any problems. hope this helps :D

Welcome :D

I also would like to suggest a 3" BL

how high do the shackles take the rear up? 2 inches exactly, i coulda sworn i read it wasnt quite 2 inches...

oh yeah, i was considerin the xterrains...any experience?

is it necessary to replace the shocks when doing the tt and shackles? if so...what do yall recommend?

if u really like to play in the mud stay away from procomp mt's. they don't clean out good. i know a decent number of people who have made the mistake of buying them. they now regret it. trust me. stick with bfg's which get good mileage and are awesome in mud or even better go with swampers but get less mileage. but no procomps. :thumbdwn: u have been warned

how well would 33's fit with the 4in superlift? and how much trimming would u have to do

You should just need light trimming, depending on the tire.
