Fix it or sell it?

How did the project turn out - are you still working on it? I did head gaskets on my 5.0, and could lend a hand if you need it. Where in New Brunswick are you? PM me, I'll shoot you my phone number.

Man am I glad I listed to you guys and kept her....turns out i'm really bad at diagnosing things and Todd (freetodragdoors) is really awesome at everything. It ended up just being a leaky t-stat housing and cracked valve cover...add that to my overactive imagination and there's yer problem.

Now she runs like a champ! Pics and stuff located here:

YOu can swap that motor in less than a weekend. If you ahve everything ready at go time. You can even swap in a second gen just as easily. there will be a sensor on the motor you won't use, but everything else is good. Plus you will pick up a few ponies. Then you can keep your old motor and build it up slowly to have ready for the next time.

Seriously though, especially with an extra pair of hands and a manual, two days down time. Less if either one has done any motor swap before.
