I'm on the fence on weather to keep it or sell it .I bought the 1999 Eddy with 100000 miles 3 months ago for $5500.
It is red and the body and paint along with the int. are GREAT for it's age. The motor seems strong and hasn't used any oil and shifts fine with no leaks.
I am good at troubleshooting and repairing and am very mechanical (hardly anything I can't fix or tell you how on a boat )

Now where the problems lie I cant get the drivers door locks to work (have tried everything in the posts to fix) and the same with the auto control on the air.
I think there must be a elect problem as when I looked under the back seat the wire harness seems to have already been compromised and just half a$$ed put back. The actuator on the blend door was missing a screw too. The front end all needs replacing along with the rotors, calipers and brakes in the rear. I'm trying to justify putting in the money in her???Actually makes me wonder if the odometer was compromised but I did do a carfax before I bought it and showed 1 owner and the millage seemed to match.
I'm worried if I drop $1500-2000 in it I'll be totally upside down in it the way gas is going. So I guess what I'm asking is would you keep it or sell it and buy one a lil newer. I don't drive it much (6000-8000 Yr) as I'm disabled and can only do some of the work myself (front end & brakes will need to be done by someone else).
Just looking for different opinions as the forum has been very helpful and on the boating forum I help guys with there older ROBALOS fix them up as on here. Thanks in advance for your input.

That's a tough one. That's a lot of money you already have tied up, and it will be tough to sell for near that. Is it a v6? Do the ball joints need replaced?

Yes a V6 ohc and yes too on the ball joints, brakes, tyrod ends and tires soon.. I already did new shocks and sway bar ends. I clay bared it back to the almost origional luster .All the leather is good except a lil break in a sewed area. Tinted windows and the window/sunroof vents. My friends all say they can't believe it is the same suv. I take pride in my vehicals and my 40 yr old ROBALO is ready for it's 7 th repower and has been in magazines.

Well, how much do you like it? It needs a fair amount of work. If you keep it I recommend a transmission service.
