As soon as I let my sister touch my 95 Eddie Bauer on our trip from Minneapolis to Detroit, the 4WD HIGH and LOW lights began flashing intermittently, about every 8 miles or so. It was in 2WD the whole time with no attempt to shift. The lights have not appeared since we made our first stop and shut down the car. Freak electrical glitch? 4WD trigger going bad? Haven't been able to replicate it yet. Any comments or suggestions welcome. Thanks!

Have you tried switching into 4WD High or Low? If not, try it and make sure both engage. Just be sure to use Low off pavement when testing it.

This has been discused many times before on here.
If I remember corectly, all it is, is your tranny doesn't know the position of the gears, and if you "cycle your key" you should be able to get rid of the flashing lights.
If this doesn't solve your problem, and the lights flash all the time, then you may have a bad sensor in your tranny. I think the lights flash 5 or 6 times and then they are off for 2 minutes and then start back up again.
