So i have had my o/d light flash once or twice before on a few longs trips but didnt get the code checked and it stopped for the longest time. 2 days ago it did it again and i began to think about it and remembered i think it is happening when i use the cruise control.
I know i should get the code read but i haven't been able to yet. is this a dealer only read?
But my question is more could this be directly related to something in the cruise control. Then after some research i was wondering if it is the vss because the cruise probably uses the vss to monitor speeds.
Any input is appreciated.

Also wasn't there a recall for something with the cruise control and could this maybe be linked together?
