Which would get your attention more, a flashing third brake light, or a solid one?

This will be with clear tail lights with those stupid little LEDs.

if you think the leds are stupid, why have them? also, i think a flashing one is more noticeable, but it may also give some people the impression that you cant drive.... they may think you are constantly pressing and releasing your brake

normal bulbs dont show up in the day with clears.

and at night, flashing bulbs look like blinkers

btw: it is prolly illegal

So why am I seeing all these new SUVs on the road with blinking third tail lights?

Like what kind? I've never seen any vehicle with a flashing brake light.

there are tons of vehicles here with flashing third brake lights..
lots of newer suvs and many newer cars also. i'd name some models but i usually and thinking how annoying it is. i seriously doubt any of these vehicles were modified after to do that. assuming that, it probably isn't illegal for them to be that way. if so, the guys with factory vehciles that blink couldn't leave the state. kind of like all the new expeditions and navigators with the annoying blinker on the mirror thing.

blinking = annoying... but it gets people attention.

ya please name some of these vehicles because i have never ever seen a blinking brake light... i think it would annoy the **** out of me.

I've seen it on luxury SUVs, like the new Lexus.

the only vehicles i have seen the blinking 3rd bl on is riced out imports with leds in the wing..... i have never seen blinking lights on new vehicles factory stock

Well never the less I'm not really concerned with the legality, clear tail lights arn't exactly legal either. I just want to know what will get more attention.

flashing will get more attention.... good attention and bad..... good by enthusiests like yourself, bad as in cops and people that get annoyed by flashing lights..... keep in mind, drunks and people on drugs like things with flashing lights... it intensifies the buzz that they are on..... having a drunk guy rearend you becuase of your flashing lights would totally suck.... yeah youd get a free paint job and repairs done, but the downtime would suck

I'd vote against the blinking light. I really don't like them.

I've only ever seen them on new cars, I've never seen a blinking tail light on a ricer.

As far as legality, it might be something that's legal from the factory but illegal to do aftermarket. Tint is that way in Georgia. If you take your car to get tinted, the legal limit is 35%. But if you get your vehicle from the factory with "privacy glass" or whatever, there's no limit to how dark the tint can be

I belive most of the new toyota's that have the flashing 3rd brake light. Atleast the ones I've seen were on toyota's and they flashed 5 or 6 times then stayed solid...
