Krylon Fusion is a paint meant to bond to plastics. It is the wrong paint to use in that application. There are a couple other things I could say.... but I won't.

Well the way i understand it it bonds to both. i have been using it for the past couple years on both with really good results. i always primer first which makes a much better surface. i love the way it turns out. if you dont like the rims so be it but i have never had that paint chip or peel and it last a lot longer than most.

krylon has multiple types of paint and they make a certain one for metal which looks different then the other can. And with all krylon products it says it does not require primer. i painted my rims last year wit krylon for metal, surprised that they lasted a whole year and still look mint.

No, really, Krylon Fusion is paint formulated JUST for plastics. Save yourself a dollar or two and get the regular Krylon acrylic if you like the paint. Over metal, you will get a LOT better results. Heck, I use the stuff on lots of things, I don't think it is bad paint at all. Also, I wasn't really just commenting on your rims, I had a look at the other pictures in your album as well.... Switch away from that Fusion (except for on things like plastics and other trim pieces), and try putting lighter coats on. It is a lot easier than people make it out to be to get a quality finish out of a rattle can.

We finally got some nice weather so I got a better pic of my X

94whiteX, looks like you're in for a name change. :)
We're going to be painting the truck flat with the next nice break in the weather. If it comes out anything like yours, I'd be pretty ecstatic.

I'll go ahead and update. The truck is in primer and bodywork is finished. I just have to get a weekend to paint it picked out. Ill get a picture up later.
