In my 2023 ST I noted the floor posts were loose in the carpet when i purchased it. I had them fix it (I thought) under warranty, however the posts / carpet are loose which means the floor mat can slide forward. Yesterday i noted the floor mat pushing up on the gas pedal when i stepped on the brakes (heavy foot on my part.. .size 15 shoes mean stepping on the break also puts pressure on the floor mat) so time to revisit this. My guess is its no longer covered (50k on the car) but may be under extended warranty... but also wondering if i could just fix it myself. I've searched here and didn't find anything and found a few other simialr issues on the internet but no solutions. Any suggestions on why the floor posts would be loose and / or what to tell the dealer (or to fix it myself)?
