I have a 97 XLT with the 5.0. I am old school and would really like to put a B&M shifter on the floor. Its pretty straight forward for installation, but, my concern is... how do I use the overdrive interrupt button/switch? Is there a way to move it to the dash or some shifters have button built in, could I use that?

my tbird has an overdrive button right on the shifter, same 4r70w trans. Any one shot-spring loaded switch should do the trick.

Thanks for the answer. Which one would you rec? I like the one for the mustangs, the Hammer I think. //www.bmracing.com/PRODUCTS/Performance-Automatic-Shifters/Hammer-Shifter
