floor shifter

I'm just wondering (for future mods) if it's possible to install an aftermarket (ie Z-gate or similar ratchet action) floor shifter in a 98 xlt.

Sure! Your 98 should be a cable operated column shift right? Youjust have to find a spot for the floor shifter, cut a hole for a new cable and hook it up to the tranny.adjustment and a custom cable will probably be required.

Why? What are you gonna do with the steering column?


Oh and your P R N OD D 2 1 guage will no longer work.
