So im installing a amplifier for my sub and was looking at how to run the wires. I need to know how to remove the plastic peices on the driver side by the floorboard, kicker panel, and the center panel between the two rows of seats that the seatbelt is attached to.

On my chevy it has screws that i just took out but my 98 X has none. Does it just pop off?

Also does anyone know if there are any factory holes in the firewall on the driver side that are unused so i can run my power cable through it?

Thanks in advance

2006 Ex

I see that you have a 98, i have an 06 and i can tell you that there are no wholes i my fire wall. I plan on installing aux lights on the front of my ex and i will end up drilling through the firewall and then filling the whole with a grommet.
I know several other people who have expeditions and explorers and as far as i know, (correct me anyone if i am wrong) other than the hood release cable hole:D there is no place to add wires from the engine bay into the cab

Make sure you check both sides of the fire wall B4 drilling so you don't hit anything

the kickpanel has 2 small bolts at the bottem then just pull off, then theirs like 6 bolts holding on a piece of metal. i know the message center and part of the center console just pops off. as for going threw the firewall i just use a knife/spike to poke threw the rubber of one where the wires going in their.
