I'm looking to pretty much get a new exhaust system. I want a real deep sound that will pretty much rattle the pants off of anyone that I drive by. I was thinking about The Original Flowmaster 40 with a cat-back system. Anyone have any suggestions on exhaust systems and experiences with this muffler?

true dual non-delta flowmaster 40 is what you want if you want loud

I want a deep bass-ey sound as if I had subwoofers where my headers should be. ;)

I just got my flowmaster 40 on and Omfg does it sound sweet. I was nearly ****ing in my pants the whole ride home from the exhuast place. I ended up getting a cat back with a single 3" pipe from the muffler back. I was going to do duals but I did this just to keep the price down. It cost me $325 with muffler pipe stainless steel tip and installation.

98 SOHC V6 off of a Flowmaster 40 cat-back 2.5" piping, not a 5.0, but it will only sound better. I'm honestly starting to hate the inside drone and putting a 50 in, it gets rediculous to talk to the girl at midnight when the engine is cold and the muffler is going crazy. :\

I love it. Everyone invest in Dynamat, I'm going to make the stock jump by 50% this weekend.

rydinhigh, what brand cat did you get?

What are cats? :burnout: I am going on friday to eliminate the rear two cats. Im all for a friendly environment but four of them is just a little overboard.

yeah my 4 cats will be replaced with 2 high flow's as soon as i get my headers. Then my truck will sound RIGHT!

I just got a 03 X sport. I want to put an exhaust on it but do not want it to sound like a car. I had a 01 F150 and put a double chamber flowmaster and cut the pipe after the exhaust. It sounded good and deep. I want a deep sound, not too loud and unexpensive. Any suggestions?
