I bought 2 at www.summitracing.com. I beilieve they were $60 each. I then had a local muffler shop wleld them in and run dual pipes out the back with 3 1/2" chrome tips. They charged me $100 to run the pipe and $30 for the tips, so the total was $250. It really freed up some power, and if I keep my foot out of it, the mpg is better too! I have a pics link in my sig with some exhaust pics.

I remove my resonator and replced the pipe with 2.5" and it sounds great.

I don't know about the 1995 model. Mine is 1997 and I have a resonator after the muffler right before the spare tire. I have it removed and it sounds great even at idle. Sounds like a V8.

i dont think i have one. as far as i know i only have a muffler and 2 catalytic converters. unless one of the cats is actually a resonator. i think they are both cats though

There are two cats before the muffler just under the front seats, then a resonator after the muffler. Its a small round thing much smaller than the muffler and the cats before the exhaust exits.:exp:

yeh thats what i thought. i dont have a resonator. i dont even have a tail pipe. =P

mine only had 1 resonator..behind the stock muffler over the axle before the exit pipe......my flow 40 is now much quieter but is still LOUD enough to wake up the neighbors... i put 2.5 from the muffler to out the back next to the hitch under the bumper..straight pipe....

how come you put a tailpipe on? i thought you liked haveing your explorer that loud?
by the way have you gotten your X a new front end?
