Flowmaster 50 Series SUV Sound Clip!

Does anyone have or know where i can find a sound clip of a Flowmaster 50 Series SUV muffler on a 5.0L. I have a 96 Explorer 5.0L V8 and am looking to put a new muffler on and i can't decide between a regular 50 Series or the SUV muffler. Is there really that big of a sound difference between the two and is the SUV really that much quieter. It would be cheaper for me to get the SUV muffler because then the muffler shop would not have to make a Y pipe for me, but I don't want the SUV muffler if it is really that much quieter then the regular 50 series. Don't want to be disappointed whih what i choose. Anyone that can help me out of sounds of the SUV muffler and the regular 50 series would be great. thanks

I can't vouch for the sound on a V-8, but I can tell you that if the sound on the 4.0 SOHC is any indication, it won't be any quieter at WOT. It should eliminate any drone at freeway speeds though.

Have you tried flowmaster's website? They usually have many sound clips of their various mufflers. I have heard from people that they sound basically identical though. If all else fails, give google a try.

I have tried Flowmasters website and heard the sound clip but it doesn't tell you what vehicle it is on. i was hoping I could find one on here of an Explorer V8 so I know what it would sound like on my truck. Seems to be a pretty popular muffler, I am suprised can't find one sound clip of it on here of a V8. I am really hoping someone can reply with their opinions and a clip soon cause i would like to order the muffler within the next few days. Want to make the right choice the first time I do this. thanks

I have a 97 V8 with the 50 Delta Series on it. It sounds pretty good on start up and while I'm accelerating. on the highway it kind of tapers off a little bit until you get on the gas. Im not sure how to post sound clips but i can taper it and try if someone could explain how to post them.

I already have the Delta Flows as said above, but I am changing to the SUV series on friday. I will post a clip or something of the 50 delta flows, Vs. the 50 suv series.

I have the flowmaster 50 series on my SOHC 4.0 and its pretty mellow. It gets pretty loud under heavy acceleration under 3k but other than that its pretty quiet. Highway drone is pretty much non exisitant. Nice muffler if you want noise....but not too much.

I think I got a sound clip up, and if it works it is of my 97 v8 5.0 w/ the 50 series delta flows. I am getting the SUV verison of them put on tomorrow cause i think they will sound better

In movie maker you have to click save to my computer under number 3. And then upload it. You can't upload the movie maker file.
