flowmaster 50 series?

resonators behind the muffler? even on v8s? hrmm, I had the shop custom bend my pipes, so I would assume I no longer have one. Ah well, sounds better anyway :)

No, you dont have any resonators.

Bump

so lemme get this straight...now that i just ordered the 40 series deltaflow and am going to have a shop custom make everything else.....i wnt have any resonators anymore right?...

also i have another question...prolly a real dumb one too

they can put dual tips on right....instead of just a single tip?....what size would be good for the dual..?

thanks.

Well if it is a custom shop they should be able to do custom work. If you want a resonator they can put one in... if not then they wont. As long as they can weld good and have the necessary parts they should be able to put any tip you want on.

well I dunno, I went to em, told em I wanted a flowmaster 50 dual in/out and custom pipes so that they exit 1 on each side of the truck, and they handled the rest, I dunno anythin about a resonator on my application :P wouldnt that be sort of stupid tho? to put a resonator on 1 pipe and not the other on a dual setup? I would guess I have none.. since I'd need 2 to with the dual pipes

ok, i think i am looking in all the wrong places. where on the internet do they sell mufflers or exhaust systems for explorers. i cant seem to find many sites. also, when i do find what i am looking for its always for explorers up to 96 and then skips to 2000. i know the body style is the same from a 96 to a 98, but would exhaust parts be the same as well?? i am trying to learn and i need help! thanks

Well the exhaust stuff is weird because starting in 97 they came out with the SOHC. That has a different exhaust system than the OHV.

I bought mine at www.summitracing.com Youll need to look at your muffler and see if its a dual inlet/dual outlet or a dual inlet/single outlet. Then you can just order any muffler you want and have the shop weld it in and run some pipe. I have a pics link in my sig with some of my custom made exhaust.

To all who have a 91-94 without catback:

will a 40 series tip make it sound deep like if im driving a nice small block with horsepower, or will it sound liek a little import rice rocket?<===Dont want that!
