I have been looking around and was hoping to get a new muffler for my 93 explorer. I was looking at getting one of the 40 series flowmaster because i have heard some good things about it. Right now my truck still has the stock setup. I guess i am looking for some recomendations on which muffler to get. I want to make it adds some hp and has a good sound but i want to keep it legal. Any help would be good. I also have done some searches on this but didnt find the answers i wanted. Thanks

The flowmaster 50 series muffler would probably be best because at idle has a quieter sound, but in higher Rpm it sounds more of a deep throaty sound.

You aren't going to notice any major difference in power, no matter what muffler you choose. It may free up some ponies, but you'll be lucky to notice any differene. I'm not trying to tell you not to get a Flowmaster, in fact, I recomend you do. I jst thought I'd let you know not to expect a whole lot from it.
