fog light options for '01 sport

hey all.

i've noticed some front end pics of X's that have blue foglights in the stock location. i would definitely like to do this my to my ride as well.

where do you order the lights that fit down there? i don't want to make any modifications, i just want something that will pop right in there.

oh yeah, i'm looking something cheap too. (aka not piaa's)

Blue bulbs will "pop right in there."
Probably anything else is going to take some moding. Removing the OEM and replacing w/new.
What size are your fog lights? Round?

i'm actually not looking for just a blue bulb. i want the lens to be blue also. do i do this with some type of film over the lens?

i have the round fog lights up front, its a 2001 sport

You'll probably find out that that's illegal. No forward-facing red or blue lights in most jurisdictions, except on police cars.

At one time, Black Magic had yellow window tint film on his fog lenses. Looked pretty good.

Get a set of Catz MSC w/hyper white lenses.
Also I think Pilot makes some round fogs w/ bluish lenses.

you can buy some like you describe at autozone and wallyworld. i think they're pilots.

why don't you just try a different bulb?

osram silverstar or narva power range +30% are not expensive and should 'brighten'up the color of your bulb.

i have a good source for these if interested.

Peter, Ya I got the bulbs and put them in a pair of Catz MSX fogs and they are great. Bright and yellow. Very nice.
FYI Peter sells very good bulbs on ebay & off.

what do you have to do to replace the bulbs? you don't need to remove the frt bumper do you? (in case you can't tell, i suck at mods)

There is no need to rremove the bumper.
Look in the fenderwell to see it.
The rear of the foglight assembly (behind the lens) has a wire coming out of it. Remove the plug and to get the bulb out, just turn it. I think it is counter-clockwise.
