tonight i got some APC H1 super white bulbs, there 100 watt bulbs. now am i gonna have a problem with these in my 99 sports stock postion? i think the stock bulbs are 55 watts though im not sure.

I'm not sure about your situation, but I have aftermarket fogs that came with 55 watt bulbs, and I upgraded to 100 watt bulbs. You will have to upgrade your fuse to a 20 amp because the 100 watt bulbs pull 17.4 amps. I'm sure you should be fine as long as you upgrade the fuse. The wiring guage for stock probably won't carry all 100 watts, but it will be brighter than 55.

Just an opinion!

If upgrading the wattage of your existing driving/fog lights you shhould consider replacing the harness as well.

First, higher wattage means more amps, with the old harness the bulbs will burn dimmer but also the excess heat created by the increased amp draw will heat up the wiring. Over time this will either create a fire or destroy the harness.

it isn't that easy to just increase the wattage of the bulb.
The manufacturer of the bulbs will usually have a harness available or build your own.

Good Luck,
