fog lights dilema!!

I was looking at my father's 99 xls and notice that she has no fog lights. SO!! I wonder if is to much of a problem to try to get the fog lights we just purchased to work with the factory harnes the car came with?
I have an extra switch from my own x wich came with factory fogligths.

I would not use the factory wiring to power aftermarket fogs. Factory fogs that you retrofit, yet. However, aftermarket fogs carry a higher wattage and would likely stress the factory wiring.

Sorry Alec, I have to disagree with you. I have aftermarket fog lights on my 94 and i have the factory harness and it has worked fine for 3 years now without a problems...maybe i am just lucky, but it works great!!!

I believe 91-94 fogs were dealer installed and those harnesses can handle 55W. 95+ factory fog harnesses are meant for 35W.
